Emerson is looking for a Special Testing Engineer in Lugagnano Val d’Arda (PC) to support specialized testing for valve and actuator products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer specifications, project requirements, and testing criteria.
- Evaluate testing requirements and assess compliance with customer expectations, standards, and capabilities.
- Develop alternative technical solutions when standard testing methods require modification.
- Review inspection and test plans for alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Create and maintain procedures for specialized testing activities (high-pressure gas, cryogenic, fugitive emission, vacuum, high-temperature, disc strength, factory acceptance testing).
- Partner with project management, quality, manufacturing, and testing teams to support test execution and certification.
- Review and incorporate customer feedback into testing procedures.
- Provide technical support during testing activities and assist in resolving issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional proficiency in English and Italian.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications, interpret standards, and develop testing procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and customer focus.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety requirements applicable to manufacturing environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineering, operations, manufacturing, or testing activities.
- Experience with industrial valves, actuators, or flow control products.
- Familiarity with factory acceptance testing and specialized performance testing methodologies.
- Experience working with international standards, customer specifications, and quality documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and customer-focused environment.
