Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full stack applications.
  • Establish a clear vision for the team and generate urgency to deliver for customers.
  • Focus on delivering results, potentially disrupting process or protocol.
  • Articulate behaviors that grow careers and develop team members.
  • Quickly dissect trade-offs, make conscious choices, and overcome challenges.
  • Constructively parse, ingest, challenge, and reframe proposals/plans.
  • Adjust gracefully to change while maintaining team energy and focus.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 5+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience owning a product roadmap for shipping software.
  • Background in computer science.
