Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for the developer experience on multiple OS like Fire OS and Vega OS across TV, Tablets and mutli-modal devices like Echo show
- Build and maintain APIs that empower developers to seamlessly test their apps and submit them to store.
- Lead AI native PODs for swift development and cultural transformation of teams.
- Drive technical excellence in mission-critical testing workflows that must deliver 99.99% reliability.
- Partner with product, business intelligence, developer relations and external 3P developers.
- Mentor and grow a team of 10+ talented engineers working on distributed systems at Amazon scale.
- Shape the technical roadmap for next-generation experiences on emerging Amazon devices.
- Solve complex challenges at the intersection of scale, security, compliance, and user experience.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
