Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for their Selling Partner Identity Verification team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves building and maintaining high-throughput distributed systems for marketplace security, seller authenticity, identity verification, and fraud prevention. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in distributed systems design, cloud-native architectures, and modern tech stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-throughput verification systems processing over 1.5M requests weekly.
  • Architect streamlined, globally distributed registration systems.
  • Implement robust identity verification services with real-time validation.
  • Develop sophisticated automation frameworks for high accuracy and scalability.
  • Develop stateless microservices, event-driven architectures, and scalable data models.
  • Work with modern tech stacks including microservices, step functions, event-driven systems, distributed databases, and identity verification services.
  • Apply DevOps practices and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large-scale distributed systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems).
  • 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting globally distributed systems with emphasis on scalability and reliability.
  • Experience with cross-regional data consistency, cache invalidation strategies, and distributed transaction management.
  • Well-versed in designing fault-tolerant systems with high availability across multiple regions.
  • Good background in security protocols and identity management systems.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Comfortable with modern DevOps practices.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
