Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the AFT Flow team. This role involves architecting, designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale software systems that optimize goods movement in fulfillment centers. You will work on challenging technical problems at an unprecedented scale, directly impacting millions of customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

Take part in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale and complex software systems.
Leverage experience and expertise to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for your team and customer.
Collaborate with others to increase the effectiveness of the overall team.
Set a great example to other engineers through code, design, and implementation decisions.
Impact technical decisions in the broader organization.
Mentor other engineers in the team.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
