Responsibilities

Design and develop systems for Amazon's Retail businesses.
Develop automation leveraging Machine/Deep Learning and LLMs.
Build robust engineering platforms to solve high-impact issues.
Drive best practices, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvements.
Work on software enhancements that improve team software and processes.
Train new members on team's software construction, operation, security, and bigger picture context.
Invent, design, and build stable and performant software.
Work on project ideas with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Actively participate in code review process, design discussions, team planning, and ticket/metric reviews.
Focus on operational excellence, identifying problems and proposing solutions.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Proficiency in a broad range of design approaches.
Efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
