Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Quick Commerce (QC) External Fulfillment team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role involves designing, building, and operating scalable fulfillment services for a new QC under-the-roof fulfillment stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create systems that power micro-stores and directly impact customer experience with ultra-fast delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack.
  • Develop systems that enforce operational controls beyond Amazon sites, including external fulfillment environments with 3P partners.
  • Collaborate with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar.
  • Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience working in fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain technology.
