Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance, globally scalable systems for Amazon's logistics.
  • Develop system solutions to operate at scale, meeting availability and performance goals.
  • Discover innovative ways to automate and scale infrastructure globally.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and departments.
  • Apply skills in system design, networking, coding/scripting, technical communication, and project organization.
  • Contribute to critical business initiatives, build products, and lead engineers in troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancements.
  • Automate operational tasks and develop end-to-end automation for human-free operations.
  • Participate in the architecture, design, implementation, and deployment of large-scale software systems.
  • Communicate ideas effectively and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
  • 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, operations).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
