The position involves ensuring high availability, monitoring performance, collaborating with teams on implementations, and proactively mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
- Work on the operational aspect of the network infrastructure, ensuring its high availability and reliability.
- Actively work on network incidents and service requests.
- Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement refinements.
- Partner with architecture and deployment teams to guarantee that new implementations are supportable and align with production standards.
- Discover opportunities for operational improvements and teaming up with colleagues to devise solutions that enhance excellence and sustainability in network operations.
- Collaborate with domain experts across functions to resolve production issues swiftly and effectively, ensuring customer happiness.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating network risks to promote continuous improvement.
- Conduct blameless postmortems and follow through on Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in Networking: operations / support, implementation.
- Familiarity with both enterprise and data center networks is critical.
- Strong proficiency in network fundamentals & fixing complex network issues with expertise in network tech like TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, VPN, L2 switching (STP, MLAG), Firewalls & VXLAN.
- Consistent track record in network operations.
- Experience with networking products from at least one vendor such as Cisco / Arista / Cumulus (Mellanox) / Juniper.
- Detailed problem-solving approach, critical thinking, coupled with good interpersonal skills and a solid grasp of ownership and drive.
- Should be comfortable working in shifts.
Desired Qualifications
- Citrix / F5 Load Balancers experience.
- EVPN skills.
- Wireless technology.
- CCNP certification is desirable.
- CCIE is a massive plus.
- Familiarity with network management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nautobot.
