In short

We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Frontend Technical Lead to manage the architecture, development, and performance optimization of global digital commerce experiences using Next.js, Adobe EDS, and React. This role involves leading modernization efforts from traditional Adobe Commerce/Magento to composable architectures and defining the end-to-end caching and performance strategy.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority for frontend eCommerce architecture and engineering practices.
Define and govern frontend architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and technical roadmaps.
Lead architecture reviews, solution design workshops, and technical decision-making.
Drive modernization initiatives from traditional Magento implementations to composable commerce architectures.
Mentor and coach engineers, technical leads, and development teams.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable storefront applications using Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, Adobe EDS, and Progressive Web Technologies.
Define and govern the enterprise caching strategy across all commerce channels, including Full Page Cache, Varnish Cache, Redis Cache, CDN Optimization, Browser Caching, API Response Caching, Search and Catalog Caching, and Pricing and Inventory Caching.
Define cache invalidation, cache warming, purge, and refresh strategies.
Design and own the target-state caching strategy for ACCS, EDS, Adobe API Mesh, and Adobe App Builder.
Design and implement Static Site Generation (SSG), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), and Edge Rendering Patterns.
Own and continuously improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), TTFB, storefront performance, search performance, API latency, CDN efficiency, cache hit ratio, and SEO performance.
Provide deep expertise across Adobe Commerce and modern composable commerce architectures.
Lead frontend integration with Adobe Commerce, ACCS, App Builder, API Mesh, and third-party commerce services.
Establish frontend SDLC standards and engineering governance.
Lead code reviews and technical quality assessments.
Drive adoption of CI/CD automation, automated testing, code quality tooling, observability frameworks, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years leading frontend engineering teams for enterprise eCommerce platforms.
Proven experience delivering global B2C and B2B digital commerce solutions.
Experience leading frontend architecture and modernization initiatives.
Strong understanding of Adobe Commerce (Magento), Headless Commerce, Composable Commerce, ACCS, EDS, Customer Journey Architecture, Product Information Management, Search & Merchandising, Promotions & Pricing, and Checkout Optimization.
Expert-level experience with Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Responsive Design, and Accessibility Standards.
Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices, API Mesh, App Builder, Micro Frontends, and Edge Computing.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Monitoring & Observability Platforms, and Performance Analytics Tools.

Desired Qualifications

Experience implementing Adobe Commerce Cloud Service (ACCS).
Experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
Experience migrating Magento storefronts to Next.js or EDS architectures.
Experience building composable commerce platforms.
Experience leading globally distributed development teams.
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering practices and frontend automation.
