Responsibilities

  • Manage Python packaging and imports, including structure and module resolution.
  • Handle external dependency management using tools like PyPI, setuptools, pip, and pyproject.toml.
  • Analyze changelogs and release notes for breaking API changes.
  • Understand and work with Google-internal tooling and automation (Good to have).

Requirements

  • Deep Python Proficiency (Strong understanding of Python language internals, standard library modules, and behavioral changes across Python versions).
  • Python Packaging & Imports (Understanding of how Python packages are structured, module resolution, and absolute/relative imports).
  • External Dependency Management (Familiarity with PyPI, standard tooling (setuptools, pip, pyproject.toml)).

  • Google3 Python Dependency Policies (Good to have).
  • Google-Internal Tooling & Automation (Good to have).
