Synopsys is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Applications Engineer specializing in STA & ECO to join their Customer Success Group in Raanana, Israel. This role involves driving the adoption of PrimeTime and PrimeClosure tools, providing technical expertise to customers, and collaborating with R&D to shape product roadmaps for advanced chip designs.

Responsibilities

Drive adoption of PrimeTime and PrimeClosure across customer accounts.
Run competitive benchmarks against other STA tools.
Deliver hands-on training sessions and technical workshops to customer engineering teams.
Partner with R&D and product marketing to translate customer pain points into feature requests.
Troubleshoot complex timing issues in customer designs.
Present technical solutions and methodology recommendations to design engineers and management.
Build and maintain technical relationships with key customers.

Requirements

Solid working knowledge of Static Timing Analysis and ECO closure.
Direct experience with at least two chip tapeouts at 16nm or below nodes, responsible for timing closure or ECO implementation.
Hands-on proficiency with Synopsys PrimeTime.
Understanding of timing corners, process variation (OCV, AOCV, POCV), and signal integrity effects.
Experience with ECO flows using PTECO or PrimeClosure.
BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE with 3+ years, focused on digital design, timing analysis, or applications engineering.
Familiarity with scripting in TCL or Python is a plus.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to explain timing concepts, constraints, and methodologies to design teams.
Experience running STA, analyzing timing reports, and debugging violations with PrimeTime.
Experience with gate sizing, buffer insertion, and logic restructuring using ECO flows.
