Emerson seeks a Senior Software Developer in Warsaw to join the Reliability Solutions team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing next-generation Android applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve industrial operations' reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using modern development practices and technologies.
Analyze customer and business requirements to deliver effective software solutions.
Contribute to user interface design and overall user experience improvements.
Partner with software engineers to design and implement robust software architecture.
Develop, test, and maintain application code, including unit and integration tests.
Profile, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Create and maintain technical documentation and developer tools.
Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
Identify technical risks, propose solutions, and support implementation planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, marketing, and engineering teams.
Support continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.
Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to team members to foster collective success.
Contribute to innovation initiatives and intellectual property development.

Requirements

Experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin.
Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and Android Jetpack Compose.
Experience working with Android SDKs and modern Android development frameworks.
Knowledge of software architecture principles, including Clean Architecture and modular design.
Familiarity with contemporary Android architectural patterns such as MVVM and MVI.
Experience implementing dependency injection frameworks, such as Dagger or Hilt.
Knowledge of software testing practices and frameworks, like JUnit and MockK.
Experience using source control systems such as Git and GitFlow.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum.
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and Material Design guidelines.
Awareness of mobile application security best practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Professional proficiency in English and Polish to effectively collaborate with global and regional teams.

Experience contributing to software architecture decisions and technical roadmaps.
Experience supporting complex software products deployed in industrial, engineering, or mission-critical environments.
Knowledge of performance optimization and application profiling techniques.
Experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership within project teams.
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Demonstrated experience working in globally distributed and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
