Responsibilities
- Own the multi-year roadmap and technical strategy for the Product Experience surface area on the detail page.
- Translate high-level BuyX and Core Shopping goals into a prioritized backlog.
- Lead, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering organization.
- Coach engineers from SDE I through Principal.
- Deliver customer-facing launches from hypothesis and design through worldwide launch.
- Hold the team accountable to launch criteria on OPS, GCCP, CSales, latency, and defect guardrails.
- Operate a large-scale, always-on service with a strong operational bar.
- Own uptime, latency, error budgets, on-call quality, event readiness, and root-cause resolution.
- Continuously reduce operational load through automation, better tooling, and simplification.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
