We are seeking a Senior SAP Data & Analytics Architect with over 15 years of experience to lead SAP BW to Datasphere and Business Data Cloud transformation programs. The role involves defining enterprise data strategy, designing and optimizing SAP Datasphere and BDC platforms, and providing technical leadership. This position requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP data technologies and experience engaging with senior stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SAP BW/BW4HANA to SAP Datasphere and Business Data Cloud transformation programmes.
Define enterprise data strategy, architecture and roadmap.
Design, configure and optimise SAP Datasphere and Business Data Cloud platforms.
Lead platform optimisation initiatives to improve performance, scalability, security and cost efficiency.
Build and maintain enterprise data models and data products.
Design and implement data integration and transformation solutions across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
Establish best practices for data governance, security and data quality.
Support reporting, analytics and AI-driven business solutions.
Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across multiple workstreams.
Lead architecture reviews, solution assurance and design governance.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
Drive continuous improvement of the SAP data platform landscape.

Requirements

Minimum 15+ years of SAP Data & Analytics experience.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW, BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere (DSP), SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Proven experience delivering BW to Datasphere migration programmes.
Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere and BDC platform configuration and administration.
Experience in platform performance tuning, optimisation and operational support.
Strong understanding of SAP data integration technologies and data connectors.
Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources.
Knowledge of Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions.
Strong hands-on experience in Analytical Modelling, Business Builder Modelling, Fact and Dimension Modelling, Semantic Modelling, Data Products, Data Mesh concepts, Enterprise Data Architecture.
Experience designing scalable and reusable data models.
Strong understanding of business processes across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Finance (FI/CO), SAP Asset Management (EAM/PM), SAP CRM, SAP HR/HCM, SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
Experience identifying and implementing AI use cases within SAP data platforms.
Knowledge of AI-driven data transformation and automation.
Experience using AI for Data quality improvement, Data enrichment, Predictive analytics, Intelligent insights, Automated data classification, Data transformation and optimisation.
Proven experience leading and mentoring technical delivery teams.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across Engineering, Platform Teams, Infrastructure, Security, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), Data & Analytics.
Strong experience working with external stakeholders including SAP, AWS, System Integrators, Third-party vendors.
Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
Experience presenting solutions to leadership teams, programme boards and architecture forums.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Excellent workshop facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
Proven SAP BW/BW4HANA architecture experience.
Multiple SAP Datasphere implementation projects.
Hands-on SAP Business Data Cloud implementation experience.
Demonstrated experience optimising SAP Datasphere and BDC platforms.
Strong data modelling and architecture experience.
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA business processes.
Experience working with SAP, AWS and external delivery partners.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
