We are seeking an experienced R2R SME with 8-12 years of progressive experience to lead our Record-to-Report function in Noida, India. This role requires deep expertise in managing month-end and year-end close processes, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting, while also mentoring junior team members and engaging with clients and stakeholders. A natural inclination for driving continuous improvement through automation and process streamlining is essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage End-to-End R2R process for multiple entities, including journal entries, for timely and compliant financial close.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Drive intercompany accounting efforts for accurate elimination and consolidation.
- Mentor junior team members, providing coaching and skill development.
- Support the Manager of the team.
- Drive efficiency in team utilization and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Engage with internal and external clients to understand financial reporting needs and provide updates.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes using ERP systems, AI, RPA, and analytics tools.
- Develop SOPs for process enhancements to drive cost savings and improve accuracy.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives for efficiency and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of comprehensive R2R and finance shared services experience.
- Extensive experience managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in tools for process automation and financial analytics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are preferred.
- Experience preferably within a corporate or global business services environment.
