We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Malmö, Sweden, to manage and improve payroll operations. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, agreements and Ingka Group policies and procedures.
  • Help co-establish and further develop the payroll capability for GFCI, including sustainable processes, routines and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and co-workers to gather information, resolve payroll-related topics and safeguard a positive co-worker experience.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and optimize payroll processes, balancing operational delivery with a tactical improvement perspective.
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives, policies, services, systems and tools impacting payroll.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and capability building within the payroll team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and training to managers and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a background in HR administration.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and payroll best practices.
  • Experience from a multinational and matrixed organisation is preferred.
  • Strong payroll operations expertise and understanding of payroll compliance.
  • A can-do mindset with curiosity, creativity and a practical problem-solving approach.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Diplomacy and confidence in communication across functions, countries and levels.
  • Tenacity and resilience to move topics forward in a changing environment.
  • Consistency, accuracy and attention to detail in daily work.
  • Ability to balance hands-on operational work with process improvement and tactical thinking.
  • Experience collaborating in a multinational and multicultural context.
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
