Responsibilities
- Manage daily operational activities for Record to Report (R2R) to ensure timely delivery within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee journal processing, AARO reporting, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Compliance reporting.
- Develop and maintain customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders, identifying and implementing adaptive business processes.
- Coach self and others through change, transforming feedback into efficiencies and knowledge.
- Lead a team, monitor processing for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting principles.
- Serve as the primary contact for R2R escalations, providing prompt solutions to resolve issues and meet service levels.
- Ensure team members comply with Desktop Task Procedures (DTPs) and address queries from internal teams, locations, and auditors.
- Take accountability for team performance by monitoring KPIs and implementing solutions for improvement.
- Lead operational meetings and ensure agreed action items are completed within deadlines.
- Collaborate with other streams to ensure smooth integrated processes and quality deliverables.
- Report operational status to management and escalate issues promptly.
- Ensure appropriate General Ledger processes, controls, policies, and procedures are in place and comply with Electrolux standards.
- Continuously seek improvements in service efficiency and quality while driving Country Process Harmonization for cost competitiveness.
- Drive and manage finance projects in collaboration with the IT team to meet timelines and objectives.
- Provide strategic thinking and execute planning in line with company goals.
- Monitor team members' performance through performance management and ensure adherence to policies for authorizations, escalations, compliance, and tasks.
- Supervise staff, including coaching, motivating, and developing employee development/succession plans.
- Ensure new and existing team members receive proper training through knowledge transfer and sharing best practices.
- Demonstrate good leadership and work independently with minimum supervision.
- Manage staff resources, including hiring, job rotation, allocation, and developing backup plans.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with locations and across streams to deliver quality performance and implement best practices.
- Engage stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
- Review, sign off, and maintain accurate DTPs and reference materials.
- Identify opportunities and implement process improvements, simplifications, and standardization.
- Identify business needs and contribute solutions to business problems.
- Perform other duties as required of a Line Manager.
Requirements
- >10 years of working experience in General ledger month-end processes, statutory reporting, and other finance areas.
- Experience supervising a large-sized team.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good managerial skills with good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to perform in a dynamic multi-cultural environment with an adaptive attitude.
- Strong adaptability skill and ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point.
- SAP.
Desired Qualifications
- Shared Services experience is an advantage.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
- 6 Sigma or other equivalent accreditations (optional).
