Ericsson is seeking a Senior Construction Manager in Guatemala City to lead telecommunications equipment deployment. This role involves managing technical solutions, site readiness, supplier negotiations, budget adherence, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 6 years of telecom experience, and strong leadership and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage activities and personnel from Ericsson, customers, and suppliers according to Ericsson requirements and customer contracts.
Oversee budget management and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Ensure work execution complies with Project OHS requirements.
Organize and coordinate rollouts effectively.
Handle work orders and manage compensation processes.
Plan and follow up on quality assurance activities to ensure project standards are met.
Provide effort estimates for pre-sales and early project phases.
Interpret customer scope, throughput targets, and end requirements to plan and manage execution.
Assess site suitability and determine build approach (self-perform vs. suppliers).
Select and manage suppliers based on expertise, cost, and delivery needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other science discipline.
At least 6 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Hands-on Construction experience is required.
Proven ability to provide design solutions and guide order of operations.
Skilled in determining site feasibility and offering site design consulting.
Direct knowledge of general construction processes and procedures.
Experience managing and directing contractors, estimating scope for civils, ground, L&A, backhaul, and maintenance.
Ability to enforce Ericsson and customer construction and quality standards.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Deep understanding of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, landlord negotiations, leasing laws, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance.
Ability to interface with customers, property owners, and internal/external personnel.
Strong contract knowledge (leasing, vendor-facing, customer-facing) and financial acumen.
Proven leadership skills.
Strong understanding of EHS statutory requirements.
Completion of OSHA 30-hour telecom course.
Significant, hands-on experience in managing construction projects, particularly in the area of tower new site builds.
Experience scoping NSB and NSB Power and Fiber Walks.
Experience leading Civil Construction including fiber, commercial power, and site conditioning (trenching, fencing, conduit, concrete, roads, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Ericsson equipment portfolio is a plus.
