Vattenfall is seeking an experienced Senior Business Controller to join Business Area Wind. This role focuses on enhancing reporting, planning, and performance management processes to support strategic decision-making in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of experience, and advanced skills in financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and improve BA Wind's planning and control framework.
  • Lead performance management, business planning, and forecasting activities.
  • Manage monthly reporting and forecasting across BA Wind.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and financial governance.
  • Safeguard financial data integrity and reconciliation.
  • Prepare management reporting and performance review materials.
  • Develop reporting templates and performance dashboards.
  • Maintain and improve KPIs, scorecards, and target management frameworks.
  • Translate financial results into business insights.
  • Define and improve controlling requirements for financial systems.
  • Drive process improvements within Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Controlling, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or performance management.
  • Experience leading planning, reporting, and forecasting processes in a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of management reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with multiple financial systems and large data sets.
  • Advanced skills in IBM TM1, Cognos Controller, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial governance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within the energy sector, renewables, or infrastructure is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to turn financial information into practical recommendations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across international teams.
  • Proactive approach to ownership of improvements and contribution of new ideas.
