Nous recherchons un MS SQL Server DBA motivé pour gérer, maintenir et optimiser nos bases de données SQL Server. Le candidat idéal soutiendra les opérations quotidiennes des bases de données, garantissant une haute disponibilité, l'intégrité et la sécurité des données. Les postes préférés sont à Pune ou Bangalore, en Inde.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases (on-premise and/or Cloud).
Assist in database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
Support backup and recovery planning, ensuring regular backups and testing of restores.
Help monitor database performance and assist in tuning queries, indexes, and system configuration.
Manage user access, permissions, and security within database systems.
Participate in data migration, replication, AlwaysOn AG and log shipping tasks under supervision.
Participate in SQL Server Agent, Maintenance Plans, DB Mail tasks under supervision.
Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and maintenance jobs.
Support developers by creating and maintaining database objects (tables, views, stored procedures).
Document database processes, configurations, and maintenance procedures.
Respond to database alerts, incidents, and performance issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated on SQL Server best practices, security standards, and new features.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Conceptual knowledge of: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Backup and recovery methods, Query optimization and indexing, Database security and user roles, High Availability (HA)/Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team and follow technical instructions from senior DBAs.

Desired Qualifications

Exposure to Azure SQL / Cloud databases.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting or automation tools.
Basic understanding of Windows Server administration.
Experience with monitoring tools and Backup tool, like SQL Sentry, Redgate, or SolarWinds and like CommVault.
Relevant Certifications.
