Responsibilities
- Manage, call on, and sell industrial equipment to customers in assigned territory.
- Prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in assigned areas.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules.
- Project the number of contacts to be made and follow up on new leads.
- Establish rapport through maintaining regular contact with existing and new customers.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and coordinate customer service.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing, and credit terms.
- Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up.
- Continuously update job knowledge for products, sales/marketing strategies, and skills.
- Prepare reports as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and performance against budget.
- Evaluate competitive developments and make recommendations for product, service, and pricing changes.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in engineering, business, or marketing preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of direct sales experience or customer service experience, industrial equipment sales preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Self-directed.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven business analysis skills.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be based in Corpus Christi, TX.
