Responsibilities
- Manage rock tools inventory, tracking new issues, discards, and losses.
- Repair and maintain rock tools according to specifications.
- Deliver rock tools products to customers.
- Utilize the Rock Tools Management System for monitoring and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical recommendations to supervisors and sales representatives.
- Report occurrences of improper usage or selection by operators.
- Complete accurate time, technical, and failure reports.
- Build relationships with the rock tools team and internal/external customers.
- Perform daily/weekly stock counts.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Comply with safety policies and government/industry regulations.
- Identify and report unsafe work habits, incidents, and near misses.
- Perform risk assessments ('Take Five') before each task.
- Maintain hand tools and equipment for safe operation.
- Maintain an orderly work area and meet housekeeping requirements.
- Attend Environmental, Health, and Safety trainings.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School (High school).
- Full class 5 valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.
- Ability to work with Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required).
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience with industry-specific equipment (mining or construction) would be an asset.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with Sandvik products would be an asset.
- Common Core is considered an asset.
