Electrolux Group is seeking a Reliability Laboratory Supervisor in Kinston, NC. This role involves supervising reliability test labs, implementing up-to-date testing methods to enhance efficiency, and verifying test plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory experience, leadership capabilities, and knowledge of reliability standards and statistical methods.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of reliability technicians to ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Ensure accuracy of all test plans and work orders, and that work order instructions are followed.
- Provide weekly Reliability Reports to Quality leadership and Engineering.
- Assist Engineering in fault analysis of Reliability units to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality leadership for Reliability resource allocation, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable testing standards (e.g., ASTM, NIST, UL).
- Implement and apply statistical methods such as MTBF, MTTF, and Failure Rate.
- Maintain an up-to-date Failure Reporting and Corrective Action system and provide regular project reports.
- Potentially work and/or supervise off-shift work on weekends.
- Apply all requirements related to EMS, ISO9001/14001/50001/Green Spirit according to the position.
Requirements
- Associate degree in science or a related field preferred; equivalent laboratory experience (5+ years) may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory and/or reliability-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of reliability testing and analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable working with computer-based equipment, systems, and data.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to document findings and prepare technical reports.
- Knowledge of reliability software, industry standards, and methodologies related to reliability, availability (uptime), and maintainability.
- Proven leadership capability with experience supervising employees across multiple shifts in a fast-paced technical environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Dishwasher product knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple laboratory environments.
