As a Regional Buyer for Volvo Group, you will be responsible for managing tenders, supplier negotiations, and ensuring compliance with purchasing guidelines for logistics solutions. You will contribute to global sourcing strategies and drive operational efficiency and sustainability at a regional level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned tenders, including analysis and evaluation of RFIs and RFQs.
  • Conduct supplier meetings, negotiations, and contractual preparations.
  • Identify potential new suppliers and develop innovative logistics solutions.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and ensure compliance with Volvo purchasing guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvements and contract management across multiple segments.
  • Lead sustainability, transformation, and process development initiatives.
  • Ensure, promote, and monitor adherence to required ethical standards and integrity.
  • Gather regional business intelligence and share insights on cost developments and trends.
  • Collaborate with segment networks on global sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations and end users of contracted services.
  • Serve as the commercial point of contact for assigned logistics service providers.

Requirements

  • University degree and/or Masters
  • Talent for cultural integration
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant work experience within Supply Chain, Logistics and/or purchasing
  • Strong analytical skills with a holistic perspective and eye for details

Desired Qualifications

  • Digital competence is a strong advantage.
  • Genuine interest in leveraging data analytics, digital tools, AI, and process automation.
  • Skilled communicator, managing stakeholders in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience from several logistics commodities / segments is an advantage.
  • Digital competence and experience working with analytics, automation, AI-supported tools, and data-driven decision-making are considered strong advantages.
