Sandvik is looking for a Rebuild Technician in Cleveland, Ohio to inspect, repair, and rebuild hydraulic hammers. This role requires mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and experience with heavy machinery and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical aspects of equipment and components.
  • Analyze and document the condition and defects of heavy machinery.
  • Follow work instructions within time constraints to meet delivery targets.
  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Use precision measuring tools.
  • Manage customer repair jobs from start to finish.
  • Work with ERP and other support systems (Profio, JotForm, Asana, SAM).
  • Communicate with customers regarding quotations, job statuses, and failure causes.
  • Organize and manage renewed hammer inventory.
  • Make recommendations for parts and tool inventory to maintain workflow.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques through training and online learning.
  • Assist in new product assembly when needed.
  • Assist and train entry-level/junior rebuild technicians.

Requirements

  • Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery and/or construction/demolition equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
  • Ability to read dimensional drawings.
  • Excellent customer focus and dedication to improving customer satisfaction.
  • Effective communication and comfortable interaction with colleagues.
  • Adherence to safety procedures.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and read English.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Good manual dexterity with the ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment.

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Technical Trade School.
  • On-The-Job Training.
