As an R&D Test Engineer at Emerson, you will develop and implement automated test platforms by integrating hardware and software. This hybrid role requires a B.S. in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering with a strong understanding of programming languages and core engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement automated test platforms integrating hardware and software.
Research to develop or enhance test solutions.
Specify, design, test, and deploy automated test solutions for computer-based instruments.
Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews.
Integrate hardware and software for manufacturing test.
Utilize programming skills to develop test applications.
Review product specifications and customer documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.

Requirements

B.S. in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or mechatronics engineering.
Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand are an advantage).
Thorough understanding of measurement error sources, instrumentation selection, statistical data analysis, software design/architecture, and hardware/software integration.
Passion for learning about test industry technologies.
Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a group, problem-solve, take initiative, work independently, drive tasks to completion, take ownership of goals/schedules, listen attentively, and learn quickly.
English Language Competency/effective communication skills, especially in technical conversations.

Desired Qualifications

LabVIEW and TestStand experience are an advantage.
