At ABB, we are seeking an R&D Associated Engineer in Xiamen, China, to research and develop medium-voltage switch cabinets, focusing on structure and insulation design. The role involves computer-aided design analysis, simulation operations, and providing technical support during testing and factory operations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for research and development of switch cabinets for medium-voltage distribution systems, focusing on structure and insulation design.
Carry out computer-aided design analysis and calculation, such as mechanical or electric field simulation, during the R&D process.
Use DFA/DFM tools for auxiliary design related to manufacturing and assembly.
Coordinate and handle problems arising during the testing process of medium-voltage switch cabinets.
Ensure products pass tests smoothly and provide technical support for factory operations.

Requirements

Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering and Automation (High Voltage Electrical Appliances, High Voltage Insulation Technology or Power Electronics preferred) or Mechanical Design.
Familiarity with SolidWorks design software.
Strong learning ability, communication skills, and stress resistance.
Proficiency in computer office software.
Proficient in English and fluent in oral English.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with simulation in insulation, mechanics, etc., will be given priority.
