Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and maintain black box test cases with some guidance.
  • Craft effective prompts and evaluation criteria for Gen AI-powered features.
  • Drill down on ambiguous task requests into clear work instructions.
  • Reproduce errant product behavior and accurately report defects with reproducible reports.
  • Verify fixed bugs are truly fixed.
  • Install and configure software, use debug settings, and gather logs.
  • Execute and verify results of existing automated tests.
  • Manage and scale lab infrastructure based on project needs.
  • Maintain basic understanding of the automation framework to initiate and manage automation runs.
  • Leverage Gen AI tools to accelerate test case generation, identify edge cases, and improve test coverage.
  • Perform defect analysis and help prioritize/escalate issues.
  • Analyze automation failures by isolating script vs. product failures.
  • Give feedback on automation needs, coverage gaps, and quality of test instructions.
  • Develop simple tools/utilities (including AI-assisted ones) that improve project metrics.
  • Identify repetitive workflows and propose simplification.
  • Help improve stakeholder communication processes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software test techniques and strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience in testing.
  • Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Some scripting knowledge in any language.
