Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales team, understand pursuit opportunity insights, and engage in customer interactions.
- Interpret customer specifications and challenges, tailor proposals accordingly, and align with Emerson's proposed solution.
- Work closely with Operations (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement) to review proposal strategies.
- Optimize solutions while maintaining competitiveness for multi-million dollar proposals of varying complexity.
- Ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements, including trade compliance, ethics, and corporate governance.
Requirements
- Product knowledge: Gas measurement technologies and products (Analysers / Chromatographs), specific product and application suitability.
- Knowledge of Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and Steam and Water Analysis / Quality Systems (SWAS).
- Knowledge of Flame and Gas detection Systems.
- Understanding of gas composition and selection of appropriate Analyzers.
- Familiarity with P&ID and GA drawings.
- Knowledge of Sample Handling Systems.
- Working knowledge of standards such as RP555, NFPA496, ISO, US-EPA, ASME-PTC, and other relevant industry standards.
- Ability to evaluate customer requirements and vendor quotes, confirm compliance, and make informed decisions.
- Understanding of local Weights and Measures requirements for the customer/end destination region.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills and action-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to learn new things and understand different cultures.
- Risk assessment capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
- Up to 10 years of experience in managing concurrent mid-complexity proposals.
