We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage client orders, liaise with internal customers, and oversee supplier engagement for hardware accessories like locks and hinges. The role involves technical requirement clarification, quoting, and production monitoring to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal group customers (primarily UK and India factories) to clarify order requirements, drawings, and technical standards, independently managing order fulfillment.
- Deconstruct product drawings to identify parts, and engage with relevant suppliers to follow up on samples, mold materials, and progress.
- Calculate prices and provide quotes to customers based on established rules.
- Assist in monitoring supplier material quality and order delivery progress during mass production, maintaining communication with customers and coordinating issue resolution.
Requirements
- Major in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a Bachelor's degree or higher.
- More than three years of work experience in manufacturing factories within the mechanical industry.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand fundamental processing technologies for plastic molds and hardware molds.
- Familiarity with basic hardware processes such as die casting, machining, sheet metal, stamping, and surface coating.
- Proficiency with the ISO9001 quality management system, including basic quality control and supplier audit essentials.
- Fluent in written English; spoken English proficiency is a plus.
- Strong work independence, problem-solving orientation, and ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks in a planned manner.
- Clear thinking, good communication, and coordination skills.
