ABB seeks a Project Controller for their Distribution Solutions Business in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This hybrid role involves managing financial activities for projects, optimizing cash flow, and supporting project management teams. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5-10 years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

Drive all financial activities within multiple small-scale projects or a single large project.
Act as a business partner to the Project Management team, supporting all financial and commercial matters.
Actively drive the project’s performance.
Participate in tendering to negotiate commercial and financial aspects.
Conduct monthly project reviews and drive financial performance (cash flow, revenues, gross margin).
Manage currency risk, bonds, guarantees, and tax issues.
Review risks & contingencies and take appropriate actions.
Ensure accuracy of project balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements, and forecasts.
Participate in opportunity/risk identification and monitor risk mitigation.
Promote commercial awareness in the project team and provide commercial input.
Ensure adherence to ABB’s corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Professional Certificate in Accounting or Finance.
5 to 10 years of working experience in project controlling, project finance or controlling in Project environment.
Experience in financial project control, with a track record of successfully managing projects.
Proficiency in SAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Proficiency in Power BI.
Fluent in English both written and verbal.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in a multi-cultural team environment is a plus.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
