Your role

The Production Planner is responsible for managing the full production‑order process for the Systems area (planning → creation → closing) and maintain the master backlog log. Handle material availability, warehouse transfers, shop‑floor loading, customer ship dates, and order revisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise production orders (routings/BOMs/dates/assignments).
  • Confirm material dates and verify availability.
  • Release orders and prepare shop‑floor packets.
  • Update master log and file completed orders.
  • Coordinate warehouse transfers, kits, shortages, and inventory needs.
  • Support DMRs, stoppages, and material picking.
  • Confirm hours and technically close orders.
  • Communicate with Order Management, Production, Shipping, and Supply Chain.
  • Track KPIs (hour variance, OTD, labor efficiency).
  • Review/update lead times for Systems items.
  • Lead weekly project review meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Order Management, and Engineering/Design.

To succeed, you will need

Education:

  • Associate technical degree preferred.

Relevant Experience:

  • 3–5 years in manufacturing/production planning.
  • 3–5 years ERP use (SAP preferred).

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑starter with strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
