Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve DPPM and testing first pass yield targets.
- Track ABB complaints close rate and drive EMS to reduce recurring issues.
- Drive improvements on ABB audit findings (SQP & self-routing inspection).
- Lead quality improvement projects using systematic management methodology.
- Improve EMS supplier quality from IQC perspective, defining CTQs with product and mechanical engineers.
- Coordinate EMS & ABB on complex process/testing issues for on-time delivery.
- Communicate with EMS PJM to identify delivery risks and align with ABB responsible party.
- Handle new variant testing configuration and test sequence/limits changes.
- Support EMS on complex ad-hoc issue problem solving and product failure overview in production.
- Support ECN execution, including new F/W verification.
- Review new ICT fixture coverage and support PCBA FCT and box build testing issue resolution.
- Review PPAP (SMT / Wave / Coating, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automation.
- Minimum 3 years’ engineering experience in PCBA provider or Drives industry.
- Solid knowledge of SMT, Wave Soldering, Coating, ICT/FCT, PPAP, IPC standards.
- Knowledge of Variable speed drives, Servo drive or similar industrial products.
- Familiar with production testing languages Python, LabVIEW, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills (8D, 5Why, Fishbone).
- Fluent English and writing skills are a must.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
