Qualcomm is looking for a Product Development Test Engineer in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, to join their team. This role involves design validation, characterization, and production deployment of leading-edge IPs for 5G products using advanced FinFET semiconductor process technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop test solutions for design verification and characterization of RF receiver/transmitter/transceiver ASICs and Front-End Modules.
Experience in key RF measurements (EVM, ACLR, Gain, NF, IP3, Phase Noise, etc.).
Understanding of basic RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal source analyzer, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Understanding of basic ATE test platforms (Advantest, Uflex, Cohu, etc.).
Experience with developing/modifying Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, Python, LabVIEW and/or TestStand.
Knowledge in RF-PCB design basics.
Understands board design, debug, and development.
Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems.
Apply Hardware knowledge to assist in the planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems.
Provide support for the integration of features and functionality into hardware designs.
Conduct simulations and analyses of designs, and implement designs with optimal power, performance, and area.
Collaborate with team members to implement new requirements and incorporate the latest test solutions to improve yield, test time, and quality.
Operate ATE to validate and debug new product functionality, test HW/SW development, characterize across corner conditions, and release cost-effective production test solutions for mass manufacturing.

Requirements

Experience in key RF measurements (EVM, ACLR, Gain, NF, IP3, Phase Noise, etc.).
Understanding of basic RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal source analyzer, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Understanding of basic ATE test platforms (Advantest, Uflex, Cohu, etc.).
Experience with developing/modifying Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, Python, LabVIEW and/or TestStand.
Knowledge in RF-PCB design basics.
Understands board design, debug, and development.
Applies Hardware knowledge to assist in the planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems.
Provides support for the integration of features and functionality into hardware designs in line with proposals or roadmaps.
Assists in conducting simulations and analyses of designs as well as with the implementation of designs with the best power, performance, and area.
Collaborates with team members to assist in the implementation of new requirements and incorporation of the latest test solutions in the production program to improve the yield, test time, and quality.
Experience with circuit design (e.g., digital, analog, RF), hardware engineering and hardware design (schematic capture and circuit simulation) or related fields.
>1 year of experience in product development, test validation and high-volume production activities related to System on Chip (SOC) - Compute, Data Center, Mobile, Automotive, IoT areas.
VLSI technologies – Digital Design, CPU architecture and organization and Semiconductor process.
CMOS Analog, and Mixed-Signal circuits such as ADC, DAC, PLL, LDO, LNA, Mixers, Power Amplifiers, and their performance measurements.
Experience handling measurement test equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, time interval analyzer, logic analyzer, network analyzer, ATE, Rohde & Schwarz).
Experience with Python/C++/Java/Assembly/Embedded SW.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Desired Qualifications

Domain knowledge in one or more of these areas is a plus: CPU, Logic Test (ATPG), Memory, (SRAM, DRAM interfaces), High Speed Serdes, Sensor validation and its corresponding test methodologies.
