Responsibilities

  • Own the customer engagement and vision as a trusted advisor across the full lifecycle, shaping ambiguous opportunities and translating executive ambition into outcomes.
  • Set the direction for transformation by turning strategic ambition into an executable blueprint defining business processes, operating models, and human-agent workflows.
  • Partner across teams to define AI-native human-agent operating models and shape seamless experiences that accelerate adoption.
  • Orchestrate the One Microsoft team, determining squad composition and sequencing capabilities.
  • Develop repeatable engagement methods for ambiguous opportunities, directing AI maturity assessments and using rapid prototyping.
  • Gather and synthesize customer and partner insights from stakeholders to shape engagement definition and execution.
  • Set the architecture direction from the business outcome inward, working with and steering delivery and platform architects.
  • Own the value hypothesis and validate KPIs, holding the causal link between work units and measurable business results.
  • Direct and sequence proofs of concept (POCs) and MVPs to validate the causal link to target KPIs and unit economics.
  • Work with stakeholders to ratify outcomes, constraints, and success measures, ensuring acceptance criteria trace to the value hypothesis.
  • Own a realistically costed solution approach anchored to the value case and its economics, steering the build.
  • Anticipate and remove scenarios that could impede pre-sales and delivery, engaging the broader Microsoft team.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Account Team to categorize and communicate business and technical risks, defining mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Originate new intellectual property and reusable assets, drive product and engineering feedback, and champion Recommended Practices.
  • Build and leverage senior networks to influence executive stakeholders and align multiple organizations.
  • Communicate Microsoft's mission, strategy, and capabilities, using evidence-based arguments to challenge the status quo.
  • Understand competitor solutions and identify how customer business value can be driven through Microsoft's offerings.
  • Share ideas, insight, and technical input with virtual team members.
  • Participate in external architect community events and share learnings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years’ experience spanning business and technology transformation (consulting, solution shaping, digital and AI transformation, or a relevant technology domain).
  • OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience spanning business and technology transformation (consulting, solution shaping, digital and AI transformation, or a relevant technology domain).
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to set direction credibly across both business and technical topics.
