Microsoft's Industry Solutions team is seeking a Principal Consultant to deliver high-quality solutions and business outcomes leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud and AI technologies. This role involves helping strategic customers design, build, and deploy modern applications and AI solutions, including generative AI and Copilot, driving technical excellence and adoption. The position requires significant experience in technology consulting and solution architecture, with a focus on cloud-native and AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality solutions and business outcomes based on Microsoft Azure.
Help create and deliver the next generation of Azure-based Solutions for strategic customers.
Empower customers on their digital and AI transformation journeys, from envisioning new possibilities to designing and delivering solutions that drive measurable business outcomes and exceptional customer experiences.
Design, build, and deploy modern applications and AI solutions, including Copilot and agentic AI experiences.
Drive technical excellence and successful adoption of solutions.
Work across Azure application platforms, AI services, data and integration technologies, and the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem.
Contribute expertise, learn from others, and help shape innovative solutions for customers within a collaborative consulting team environment.
Architect and modernize enterprise applications by embedding AI capabilities into business processes and digital experiences.
Design and deliver GenAI, RAG, AI agent, multi-agent, and Microsoft Copilot solutions.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient applications using Azure, APIs, microservices, containers, event-driven architectures, and modern engineering practices.
Integrate applications and AI solutions with enterprise data, Microsoft Fabric, databases, search/vector services, APIs, and SaaS platforms.
Apply DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, identity, security, governance, and Responsible AI principles.
Lead discovery, architecture, technical workshops, and complex Apps & AI engagements.
Influence senior stakeholders and translate technology investments into measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture, software engineering, or related areas.
5+ years of experience leading customer-facing engagements involving solution envisioning, architecture and design, planning, development, and deployment of complex enterprise solutions.
Proven experience designing and delivering modern application and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure, including generative AI and Copilot-based solutions.
Strong ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and influence architecture and technology decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced degrees and relevant technical certifications are a plus.
