In short

As a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic at IKEA in Westampton, New Jersey, you will perform routine maintenance on warehouse and dock equipment, manage work orders, and ensure a safe and clean work environment. This full-time role requires at least two years of building maintenance experience, proficiency with hand tools, and skills in electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance routines on all warehouse and dock equipment.
  • Maintain all work orders associated with preventative maintenance routines.
  • Clean, lubricate, adjust, tighten, and paint all warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from Maintenance staff.
  • Perform light painting and cleaning duties.
  • Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture embraces diversity.
  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years prior Building Maintenance experience required.
  • Must have experience with hand tools and their proper use.
  • Proven electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing skills.
  • Safety minded individual.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have ability to obtain an IKEA forklift driver certification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Open availability required Monday-Sunday.
  • Must be able to work nights & weekends.
