Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily flow of parts between manufacturing sites, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Monitor production and shipment requirements, identify disruptions, and communicate proactively to maintain material flow.
- Manage daily shipment activity, maintain accurate tracking and reporting for shipped, in-transit, received, and outstanding items.
- Monitor carrier notifications, trailer requirements, delivery status, ETAs, and shipment discrepancies.
- Work closely with Production Planning, Paint, Plastics, Logistics, Finance, and external carriers to coordinate changing requirements and resolve issues.
- Support daily and weekly production planning by maintaining shipment trackers and communicating changes across the network.
- Analyze shipment and production data to identify missing or delayed parts, investigate discrepancies, and provide status updates.
- Ensure production teams have necessary information to make decisions and maintain a reliable material flow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in production scheduling, logistics, supply chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing schedule changes resulting from shortages, downtime, production changes, or backlog preferred.
- Experience supporting Paint or other manufacturing operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, material flow, transportation, and logistics processes.
- Experience coordinating shipments and managing changing transportation requirements.
- Ability to analyze production and shipment data, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive requirements.
- Ability to build and leverage cross-functional networks across diverse organizational areas.
- Broad exposure to Production, Supply Chain, Transportation, and customer-facing processes.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand how decisions across the value chain impact production and customer satisfaction.
- Quick learner with the adaptability to navigate different processes, functions, and organizational environments.
- Proficiency working with data, tracking tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision and resolve difficult, but typically non-complex, problems.
