Ameristar Perimeter Security USA is seeking an Operator for a 1st shift position in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on maintaining tube mill operations, performing quality checks, and collaborating with the maintenance team. A high school diploma or GED and good mechanical aptitude are required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tube mill equipment to ensure continuous operation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
  • Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill setups.
  • Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) of process and equipment.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
  • Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
  • Minimize scrap.
  • Work with maintenance hands-on to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in using special measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, tape measure.
  • Ability to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them for tooling adjustments.
  • Ability to change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling.
  • Ability to document downtime through a reporting system for KPI tracking.
  • Good communication skills with coworkers and material handlers.
  • Ability to react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
  • Ability to be a contributing team member for continuous improvement activities.
