Responsibilities
- Learn professional techniques and perform tasks for mechanical design and analysis, heat transfer, shock and vibration effects on product packaging, or verification and validation of products.
- Work and interact with a wide variety of NI staff in R&D hardware and software organizations.
- Perform research as required to complete projects.
- Diagnose and debug technical challenges.
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar STEM related field
- Sophomore or above standing
- Knowledge of fundamental mechanical design principles and processes such as heat transfer, tolerance analysis, design of experiments, and electromechanical design.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Desired Qualifications
- 3D CAD software programs, preferably Creo Parametric
- Metal and plastic materials processing techniques and design for manufacturability
- Electronics manufacturing processes and equipment
- Strong work ethic and drive to succeed
