This Master Thesis project at Ericsson focuses on the privacy and security implications of Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) in 6G networks. You will characterize what an ISAC network can infer, model threats, and design privacy-preserving mechanisms, culminating in a design framework and presentation.

Responsibilities

Build a sensing-inference taxonomy mapping signal features to revealed information.
Develop a structured threat model covering adversaries, attack vectors, assets, and privacy vs security impact.
Design and evaluate privacy-preserving mechanisms like resolution limiting, consent signaling, and differential-privacy-style perturbation.
Quantify the privacy-vs-utility tradeoff.
Conclude with a design framework and a presentation for the Ericsson team.

Requirements

Master’s students in electrical engineering, computer science, security, or related field.
Programming experience in Python for simulation and data analysis.
Familiarity with security and privacy concepts (threat modeling).
Suitable for two students with a split focus (one sensing/signal, one security/privacy).

Desired Qualifications

Differential privacy is a plus.
Strong teamwork skills.
