Master Thesis: Android APK Traffic Model Generator

Technology, Data & Digital · Software & Web Development · Software Engineering

In short

This Master Thesis project focuses on building and evaluating a cost-effective solution for generating Android APK traffic on commercial hardware. You will investigate simulating traffic models for multiple user equipment (UEs) with diverse behaviors, aiming to advance testing of data traffic optimization algorithms.

Responsibilities

Investigate simulating traffic models using commercial or pre-commercial hardware.
Develop a simulator capable of generating traffic for multiple UEs with different behaviors.
Define areas of exploration including requirements for live demonstrations, efficient multi-traffic scenario configuration, and functionality for troubleshooting.
Evaluate the cost-efficiency of the solution considering total cost of ownership and HW capacity for current and future needs.
Assess the realism of scenarios and the dynamic behavior needed.

Requirements

Knowledge in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in at least one programming language (Python not mandatory).
Eagerness to learn and explore new concepts.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in machine learning.
Experience in telecom.

Benefits

Opportunity to define areas of exploration within the project.
Work with commercial or pre-commercial hardware.
