Traton is seeking Master Thesis students for AI-based fault detection in internal combustion engines. Responsibilities

  • Design and verification of a new AI-based model for parameter quantification and fault detection on an Internal combustion engine.
  • Conducting a theoretical study utilizing data from previous experiments.
  • Option for experimental verification for interested students.
  • Phased thesis work including research question definition, information survey, main thesis work, and final write-up and presentation.
  • Supervision and feedback through seminars.

Requirements

  • Master of Science student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar.
  • Educated in computer science and programming.
  • Experience with using AI as a problem-solving tool in modeling projects.
  • Experience with Matlab for evaluating and presenting results.
  • Proficient in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
