Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes for manufacturing parts, components, and assemblies.
- Interfaces with design engineering for new product releases.
- Estimates manufacturing costs, sets time standards, and recommends tooling and process requirements.
- Maintains records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
- Executes successful acquisition and industrialization of new equipment and tooling.
- Plans and completes special projects such as product transfers and new product launches.
- Participates in the setup and development of first articles and manufacturing documentation.
- Creates and updates work instructions for machining processes and standardized work.
- Develops tool set documents for current production part numbers.
- Defines and maintains packing standards based on product and customer requirements.
- Monitors and validates process cycle times against routings.
- Tracks planned machine utilization and headcount according to demand.
- Analyzes and provides action plans for line downtimes related to Manufacturing Engineering.
- Drives and executes EC process and warranty implementation.
- Trains operators after EC implementation.
- Develops and maintains Change Over procedures.
- Manages master data for production numbers, tooling, fixtures, gages, and equipment.
- Coordinates floor space requirements for equipment, tooling, and storage improvements.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (CAD, ERP, MES systems preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
