Responsibilities
- Lead a specialized investigations team focused on identifying and disrupting sophisticated tax fraud schemes.
- Own end-to-end fraud investigations from initial detection through enforcement action, extracting generalizable patterns for automation.
- Analyze investigations to identify technical controls, data signals, and model features for scalable prevention.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations for Product/Tech/Science teams.
- Establish and maintain feedback loops with Science, Product, and Tax teams.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to track fraud trends, investigation outcomes, and detection model efficacy.
- Lead incident response for high-impact fraud events, coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Identify emerging abuse patterns at their earliest stages.
- Develop and deploy advanced detection models leveraging internal data and seller behavior.
- Continuously refine detection logic based on investigation learnings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of auditing business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance or internal audits experience.
- 5+ years of work in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations, risk, compliance or project management experience.
- 5+ years of customer service experience.
- Experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CAMS, CRCM, or CRP.
- Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
- Experience working in risk, fraud or compliance organizations.
- Master's degree or equivalent.
