Responsibilities
- Ready bars for production by sanding and cutting bar stock.
- Supply multiple departments with necessary materials.
- Manage and replenish oil and coolant levels.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like replacing air filters and changing tooling.
- Monitor and maintain concentrate levels for precision tools.
- Remove bar ends and scrap efficiently.
- Maintain a pristine work environment through daily cleaning.
- Adhere to 5S cleanliness and organization standards.
- Participate in team meetings to boost performance, solve production challenges, enhance safety, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Train peers in various job tasks.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Take on additional responsibilities to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency with tablets.
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cutting tools, with expertise in swapping saw blades, turning inserts, and other equipment components.
- Excellent communication skills.
