Responsibilities
- Direct the safe and efficient operation of the department.
- Perform simple production operations.
- Monitor and drive plant performance indicators.
- Align priorities with production demand.
- Train employees on safe and proper equipment operation.
- Handle daily problem-solving.
- Communicate production needs with other support groups.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in tube mill and or roll forming process functions.
- 1 to 3 years involved with mill setups and manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing and leading 10+ employees.
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Flexibility with production hours.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with special measuring devices, micrometer, calipers and tape measures.
- Ability to seamlessly train & show employees the safe and proper way to set and operate equipment on the mills.
- Ability to push through a project with dedication, quality, & consistency.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow and adhere to the dress code.
- 5-S training is a plus.
- Lean training is a plus.
- Ability to efficiently meet negotiated timeframes in a simplified, organized, and effective manner.
- Ability to effectively manage people, personalities, and challenges.
