Responsibilities
- Direct the safe and efficient operation of the department.
- Perform simple production operations.
- Monitor and drive plant performance indicators.
- Align priorities with production demand.
- Train and show employees the safe and proper way to set and operate equipment.
- Push through projects with dedication, quality, and consistency.
- Engage in daily problem solving.
- Maintain a safe working environment conducive to productivity.
- Communicate production needs with other support groups.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent.
- 1+ years’ experience in tube mill and or roll forming process functions.
- 1 to 3 years involved with mill setups and manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing and leading 10+ employees.
- Experience with special measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, tape measures).
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to manage people, personalities, and challenges effectively.
- Ability to meet negotiated timeframes to support customer demands.
- Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust priorities.
- Ability to follow and adhere to the dress code.
Desired Qualifications
- 5-S training is a plus.
- Lean training is a plus.
- Flexibility with production hours.
Benefits
- This will be a 1st shift position: Monday – Thursday 4:00am – 2:30pm. Overtime as required.
- This will be a weekend shift position: Friday – Sunday 5:00am – 5:00pm.
