LATAM FCV Project Buyer

The LATAM FCV Project Buyer will be responsible for negotiating favorable terms with vendors, purchasing intercompany supplies for projects, and ensuring efficient delivery and documentation processes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, over 2 years of experience in procurement or related fields, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Negotiate favorable price, delivery, terms, and shipping with vendors.
Purchase assigned intercompany supplies for projects.
Process all vendor returns efficiently and in a timely fashion.
Work with plants to ensure proper delivery performance and obtain project documentation.
Collaborate with order entry team to ensure timely purchasing.
Resolve invoice disputes with accounts payable.
Ensure all information is submitted to the factory to process intercompany purchase orders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or an Engineering discipline (Industrial, Chemical, or related).
2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Materials, Inventory, Stockroom, or Warehouse operations, preferably within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Experience using and interpreting data to support purchasing decisions and inventory management.
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and cost analysis.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with vendors, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business systems.
English proficiency (approximately 80% or higher).
Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Experience working with MRP planning systems.

Desired Qualifications

2-4 years of purchasing experience for external candidates (or equivalent internal experience).
Experience supporting or collaborating on projects and project follow-up activities.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, castings, additive manufacturing, and other production methods.
Understanding international trade practices and global supply chain operations.
Working knowledge of electronic components.
Experience maintaining supplier relationships and supporting strategic sourcing activities.
Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems.
Demonstrated resilience and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong project collaboration and cross-functional coordination skills.
